India at 75 stands at an inflection point. It is a nation on the move and a region that is changing dramatically. India is part of a world that is seeking urgent responses to some critical aspects of our ways of living. This panel will engage with the opportunities and directions that the country may opt for in the coming decades, as it seeks to deliver the ambitions and aspirations of its 1.4 billion people, underwrite security and stability for the region, and contribute to the strengthening and furtherance of a free and democratic international system. At 75, who will be India and its young population’s most important partners? What will drive the Indian economy? And how will India’s people influence the world and global developments?
