A phishing campaign is currently underway in which the attackers are posing as members of the GIGA leadership.

They are mostly using free email providers (Gmail, Yahoo, GMX, etc.). The German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) communicates exclusively via addresses at the domain “@giga-hamburg.de.” Emails from other sender domains are unauthorised messages and very likely fraud attempts. Please pay close attention to incoming messages!

Presidency of the GIGA (m/f/d), combined with a Professorship (W3) for Political Science with a focus on the Global South

Institution: German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) / Leibniz-Institut für Globale und Regionale Studien, in a joint appointment with the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences (University of Hamburg)

Commencement of duties: at the earliest possible date, but no later than 01 April 2027

Das GIGA sucht zum nächstmöglichen Termin zwei studentische:n Mitarbeiter:innen (m/w/d) für die IT-Abteilung. Die wöchentliche Arbeitszeit beträgt jeweils bis zu 10 Stunden (eine spätere Aufstockung ist möglich), Vertragslaufzeit ist zunächst ein Jahr (eine Verlängerung ist grundsätzlich vorgesehen).

Das GIGA bietet zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine Stelle als Bibliothekar:in (m/w/d) Zeitschriften- und Lizenzmanagement, Erwerbung und Erschließung. Es handelt sich bei dieser Position um eine unbefristete Teilzeitstelle (75%) im Team der Bibliothek des GIGA, Entgeltgruppe 9b TV-AVH.
