ECPR General Conference 2023: GIGA Researchers at the Most Important European Forum for Political Science

From 4 to 8 September, scholars from all over the world will meet at Charles University in Prague for the General Conference of the European Consortium of Political Research (ECPR). This year, GIGA researchers will once again lead various panels and present their research.

  • In the talks, our colleagues present their latest research findings. For example, on the role of courts in Latin American democracies, human resource management in dictatorships, the personalisation of power, the legitimisation of state-driven violence, and the “bureaucratic revolution” of the Syrian opposition. All contributions can be found at the bottom of this page.

The European Consortium of Political Research (ECPR) is the leading association for Political Science in Europe. The main annual conference brings together scholars from around the world to exchange ideas and network on current developments in the subdisciplines.
