Introduction to Zotero

Zotero is a free, open-source reference management tool that helps you collect, organize, cite and share your research sources, such as books and articles. This course will introduce the basics of Zotero such as adding sources to your library, organizing, and managing your citations, creating a bibliography, and using the Microsoft Word plug-in to easily insert citations from Zotero into your documents. We will also discuss how Zotero can help you to collaboratively manage research sources online and through the Zotero client. 

Participants are encouraged to download and install Zotero via the “GIGA Unternehmensportal” before the workshop. Furthermore, please install the Zotero Connector plugin for your web browser from https://www.zotero.org/download/. Please bring your personal laptops and some example sources with which you want to work during the course. 

Dates

The course will take place in person at the GIGA Hamburg from 9:30am to 12:30pm on 15th November 2022. Please note that this course is GIGA internal only.
