The GIGA seeks to hire a

Student Assistant (m/f/d) for the GIGA Doctoral Programme

starting on October 1, 2024. The weekly working time is 12 hours, contract duration is one year (extension possible). The salary is based on the hourly rate for student assistants at the University of Hamburg and is currently € 13,25 per hour gross (Bachelor student) / € 15,21 per hour gross (Master student).

These tasks await you:

• You will support the organization and implementation of the GIGA training program,

• you will maintain the content of our website,

• you will work on the creation of the monthly newsletter,

• you will carry out research and maintain data.

What you should bring with you:

• You are studying social sciences, humanities or economics,

• you work well with MS Office applications (Word, Excel etc.),

• you have some experience in event management and possibly also with content management systems,

• you have a good command of written and spoken English and may also have some knowledge of German,

• you work independently and in a result-oriented manner and are characterized by a high degree of reliability and flexibility.
