Leading international scholars and practitioners will participate in the second GIGA Global Transitions Conference.
The German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) is looking forward to welcoming leading international scholars, practitioners, and media representatives in Hamburg, Germany, on 1–2 December 2016. At the “External Intervention in the Age of Global Transitions” conference, the participants will join GIGA researchers in discussing how states, international organisations, corporations, and civil society actors are reacting to – and shaping – the rapidly unfolding multipolar world order. This year’s event is the second in the Global Transitions Conference Series, which the GIGA initiated and launched last year. Conceptualised as a dynamic interaction between the worlds of academia and policy, the conference series aims to generate increased understanding of the key challenges and problems the world faces today, and to propose innovative and feasible solutions.
