GIGA Event
10.07.2020
As the economic and social crisis in Venezuela deepen, the political stalemate seems to persist. The roundtable follows up on the conversation with Ambassador Daniel Kriener in the GIGA Berlin Office in April 2019. It will again bring together scholars and practitioners to discuss the perspectives of the country in the context of heightened domestic and international polarization, as the COVID-19 crisis adds to the social and economic pressures. It will also ask for policy options for international actors. After a first round among the panelists, the roundtable will open into a broad debate with all participants.
