GIGA Training
20.01.2025 - 21.01.2025
This intensive 2-day workshop, "Focused Presentations," is designed to enhance your ability to create and deliver presentations that truly resonate with your audience. Participants will learn how to assess their audience, define clear communication goals, and structure concise, impactful messages. The workshop emphasizes the preparation of slides that support you as the expert while ensuring you maintain focus during the presentation. You’ll practice techniques to connect with your audience more effectively using voice, body language, and eye contact, and develop strategies for handling questions confidently while guiding constructive discussions.
On day 1, participants will deliver the first minute of their presentation, followed by feedback and exercises to refine their approach. On day 2, they will present a 3-5 minute version with slides, incorporating the skills learned, and engage in a Q&A session. Throughout, short theoretical inputs from the trainer, combined with peer feedback, will accelerate the learning process.
By the end of this workshop, you will be equipped to design and deliver focused presentations that achieve your intended goals with any audience. Please note that participants must bring a laptop and a current project presentation for practical application.
Dates
The course will take place online on the 20th and 21st January 2025, both days from 9 am to 4 pm. Please note that this course is GIGA internal only.
